This is a crucial part of racing. We at UCMA take it very seriously. You are required to have a 50% blaze or international orange helmet. Tek Vest and knee/shin guards are mandatory. Without this safety gear you WILL NOT be allowed to race. You will also be required to wear a race jersey that has a minimum 144 square inches of orange on the front and the back. If you do not have a race jersey then you must wear a bib. We recommend that you wear knee braces and a race collar, the Pro’s wear them. Using all the recommended safety gear it will greatly increase your chances of a injury free season.

# 10 Race Weekend
It begins Friday night with registration. This is between 5pm and 9pm, unless otherwise posted. It usually will take place at the Hotel. You register for your classes and sign your insurance waivers.
Saturday morning there is a Driver’s meeting / pre-tech / hot laps. The driver’s meeting is mandatory. Your snowmobile must go through pre-tech. If you have not done these two things you will not be allowed to do your hot laps.
The Staging Lanes are numbered 1-3. On the heat sheets it will tell you which race and lane you are in. It is your responsibility to have your sled staged properly.
From staging you will proceed to the Pre-start line. When you get to this line you must be in the correct order. When the starter calls you to the starting line and you pull up out of position you will receive a penalty. You will be required to wait until the entire class has picked their position on the start line before you will be allowed to line up.
Make sure that you are familiar with all the sno-x rules in the rule book and all the flags.
Remember to have fun and race safe.
