#1 Sno-Cross Racing is an adrenaline filled, extreme form of snowmobile racing. The aerial display at times is almost beyond belief. There are few that have the, let’s say yam’s, to try Sno-Cross Racing. Do you have what it takes to compete? Are you ready to enter into the Ultimate Challenge of Sno-Cross Racing?

#2  Sno-Cross Classes
UCMA has a wide range of Sno-Cross classes.
120 Stock - there are 2 classes, Class I is run on Saturday, both Qualifier and Final. ClassII is run on Sunday. These classes are children 4-6 yrs and are only for 1st & 2nd year riders.The sleds are completely stock so that any parent can enter their child with not having to make change in order to compete.
120 Improved Stock & !20 Mod - there is a Class I & II. They are also run the same way as the Stock 120 Classes.
Junior classes - These classes go by the racers age and have a limited sled cc allowance:
Junior 380cc - must be a fan cooled sled and the rider must be between the ages10-12.
Junior Novice & Junior Fan - the sled can be a max 600cc Fan cooled and the rider must be between the ages10-13. There is no real difference between the classes. It gives the rider more seat time on the track.
Junior 14-15 - sleds must be under 600cc LC. The 600cc LC sled must have a Factory Throttle Block installed on it. Riders must be 14 or 15 yrs of age. This age group is sometimes allowed to race in the Junior 16 / 17 class but only with permission from UCMA. A rider that races in a Junior Class will be allowed to also race in the Sport Classes but is not allowed to race in Semi-Pro or Pro Classes.
Junior 16-17 - sleds must be under 600cc LC and riders must be 16 or 17 yrs of age. A rider that races in a Junior Class will be allowed to also race in the Sport Classes but is not allowed to race in Semi-Pro or Pro Classes.

Beginner Classes:

Sport Trail - this class is for 1st & 2nd year racers only, with a max 600cc Sled.
FXR 440 - this class is for 1st & 2nd year racers only, with a max 440cc LC Sled.
Racer Dad's Challange - max 600cc LC - this is a class is soley for Dad's that are wanting to try Sno-Cross. It gives them a chance to try it without racing against the guys racing the Age Classes. This class is not for Dad's that already have race experience.

Sport Classes:
Sport 600 & Super Sport
- max 600cc Sled and there is no age limit. These classes are open to all riders. The Rider that wins the Championship in the Sport Classes will be required to move up toi Semi-Pro the following season. A Sport rider is sometimes allowed to race in Semi-Pro but only with permission from UCMA and only Super Sport and Semi-Pro 600. The request must be made in writting. 
Womens Class - max 600cc LC Sled. Women in this class must follow the sled cc allowances according to their age. Class has payout.
Age Classes: - are allowed to race in Semi-Pro / Pro Classes but follow stated guide lines
Plus 25
- max 600cc LC sled. Riders must be 25 yrs of age within the race season. Class has payout.
Plus 30 - max 600cc LC sled. Riders must be 30 yrs of age within the race season. Class has payout.
Plus 30 Open - max 600cc LC Modified Sled. Riders must be 30 yrs of age within the race season. Class has payout.
Masters - max 600cc LC sled. Riders must be 38 yrs of age within the race season. Class has payout.
Semi Pro 600 / Semi-Pro Open - max 600cc LC / max 600cc Modified LC Sled. Prior to a rider competing in a Semi-Pro Class the rider must first race in the Sport Class. The rider must get permission from UCMA prior to competing in Semi-Pro. When a rider has competed 2 or more race events in Semi-Pro that rider WILL NOT be allowed to go back down to the Sport Classes. Class has payout.
Pro 600 / Pro Open - max 600cc LC / max 600cc Modified LC Sled. Prior to a rider competing in a Pro Class the rider must first race in the Semi-Pro Classes. The rider must get permission from UCMA prior to competing in Pro. When a rider has competed 2 or more race events in Pro that rider WILL NOT be allowed to go back down to the Semi-Pro Classes. Class has payout.

# 3 The First Step
You must have a race ready snowmobile. The sled must be OEM for all stock classes. It must have a tether, functioning headlight, brake light and kill switch.

#4 Safety Gear Required
You must have a 50% orange helmet, Snell 2005 or ECE 22. 05.  Tek Vest and knee/shin guards are mandatory.  Without this safety gear you WILL NOT be allowed to race.  You will also be required to wear a race jersey that has a minimum 144 square inches of orange on the front and the back. We recommend that you wear knee braces and a race collar, the Pro’s wear them. UCMA has rental TekVests and Race Jerseys.

#5 Membership
You are required to have a UCMA annual or weekend membership. The membership form and minor waiver form can be downloaded. If you are under the age of 18 you must present a copy of your birth certificate along with your minor waiver at race registration. Get your membership paperwork in early, reduces your cost.

#6 Race Forms
All race required forms are on the the website, simply download them. Prior to the race weekend, riders are required to fill out the Pre-Registration Form on line and Sumbit it. Correctly fill in all the required info online. If you are under the age of 18 yrs you must have a minor waiver signed by a Notary or Commissioner of Oath (doctor, lawyer, police etc).

#8  BIB Number  
Each racer chooses a number, called you Bib Number. The Bib Number Color and Background must be those of class entered. There is a list of Bib Numbers already taken. This number must be displayed on both sides of your snowmobile, front or back. They must be minimum 6 inches high, no itailized numbers are allowed. Returning members will be quarantined to keep the same numbers that they raced with the previous season.

# 9 Race Weekend
It begins Friday night with registration.  This is between 5pm and 9pm, unless otherwise posted.  It usually will take place at the Host Hotel.  You register for your classes, pay fees and sign your insurance waivers.
Saturday morning there is a Driver’s meeting / Pre-Tech / Hot Laps.  The driver’s meeting is mandatory.  Your snowmobile must go through Pre-Tech.  If you have not done these two things you will not be allowed to do your hot laps.
The Staging Lanes are numbered 1 & 2.  On the heat sheets it will tell you which race and lane you are in.  It is your responsibility to have your sled staged properly.
From Staging you will proceed to the Pre-start line.  When you get to this line you must be in the correct order.  When the Startline Official calls you to the starting line and you pull up out of position you will receive a penalty.  You will be required to wait until the entire class has picked their position on the start line before you will be allowed to line up.
Make sure that you are familiar with all the Sno-Cross rules in the rule book and all the flags.

#10 Rule Book
The rule book will be posted on the website. There may be new rules implemented during the season, it is important that you check our website for rule changes and updated race information. It is the racers responsibility to keep up to date on all information pertaining to racing.

#11 Class Advancement    
When the child’s age permits you may automatically advance to the next class. If your child’s birthday is during the season it is up to you and your child if you wish to advance to the next age group. Rider that wish to advance from Sport to Semi-Pro or Pro must first request permission from UCMA.

#12 - 120 Racer    
A child that wishes to race in this class they must have a membership. The parent must supply UCMA with an original signed minor waiver form. The form is only required once during the season. The waiver form can be printed off our website. It must be signed by the 120 racers parent/legal guardian and notary of public. It must be mailed in or delivered in person.
A parent or guardian must attend the races. The child must be present at registration; a different minor waiver must be signed.
UCMA racing has rules that govern 120 racing. The classes we run are; 120 Stock, 120 Improved Stock and 120 Modified. It is the parent’s responsibility to know all 120 rules and regulations. If a 120 sled is found to be illegal, the parent must disqualify the child with a UCMA Race Official present. The 120 rules are on our website. We ask parents to be an example to your child and other children, follow the rules and allow your child to have fun!!!
